Stephanie Tillotson
Stephanie is a registered midwife, employed for the last 7 years in the NHS currently working in a dual role as Practice Development Midwife and Clinical Midwife. She provides comprehensive midwifery care in antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal services and takes a holistic approach to all aspects of pregnancy and birth, advocating for individualized and women-centered care.
Stephanie’s role within the education team encompasses the provision of multi-disciplinary training as well as ensuring strong, visible, and effective leadership and advice on evidence-based practice. She is skillful at promoting collaboration and understanding within the midwifery team to strive for best practices and works alongside colleagues in all roles related to maternity services. Stephanie is passionate about supporting midwives of the future to develop their skills that lead to exceptional and individualized midwifery services.
Stephanie has a love for lifelong learning and has recently achieved her MSc in Advancing Midwifery Practice. This experience has consolidated her understanding of clinical midwifery care and developed her analytical and evaluation skills enabling her to critique research effectively. She is dedicated to the provision of safe and effective maternity care and has recently been seconded to the maternity, quality and safety team to gain insight into risk management and maternity governance.
