Dr Penelope Law

Dr. Penelope Law, also known as Dr. Penny to her colleagues and patients, is qualified both as a nurse and a doctor from The Royal London Hospital and has studied social policy at Bedford College, University of London. She is a member of the Scientific Committee at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG).

Dr. Penny has 20 years’ experience teaching and practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology in central London. She is an Obstetrics & Gynecology Consultant at the Hillingdon Hospital, London; Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College, London; and an Obstetrics and Gynecology Consultant at The Portland Hospital. Penny was a member of the review panel for the Ockenden Report and will be joining the team reviewing Nottingham.

Dr. Penny’s gynecological interests include non-invasive treatments for uterine fibroids and endometrial disorders. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at St. Mary’s Paddington where she carried out her research into fibroids. Dr. Penny’s research into both obesity in pregnancy, and non-invasive procedures for the treatment of fibroids is recognized globally as the preferable alternative to surgery. In her NHS practice at Hillingdon Hospital, she runs a specialist obesity clinic and is passionate about helping women manage their weight in pregnancy and after they have delivered.

She sees patients with peri-menopausal concerns, problem periods and queries regarding optimal contraception.

She believes that the choice of delivery and care is different for every mother and in order to make those informed  choices, women  need evidenced based  and accurate information.
