Dr Vincent Connolly

Doctor Vincent Connolly is an experienced clinical leader with particular interest in the quality and safety agenda.  He has worked on quality and safety locally within South Tees NHS Trust, regionally in the Northeast, developing clinical models of care with the previous strategic health authority and nationally with the emergency care intensive support team providing improvement support and national guidance on best practice in urgent an emergency care.  He also worked as Regional Medical director for the North of England with NHS improvement, this role involves working with trusts, in support of quality and safety improvements. Most recently, he has supported his own trust to be the first to achieve a ‘Good’ rating from the CQC since the start of the COVID pandemic.  The development of the clinical leadership programme at South Tees, which he led, was cited as outstanding practice by the CQC.
