Eleonora Palena

Eleonora has been a midwife for 8 years and has experience working in a variety of settings. She is currently a delivery suite coordinator in an obstetric led unit which covers a large geographical area, caring for around 4000 women and birthing people per year. As part of this role, Eleonora  is responsible for supporting and leading a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe care is provided across the maternity unit. Prior to this she has worked in a large tertiary referral unit caring for women and birthing people experiencing complex pregnancies.

Eleonora has led on serious incident reviews and regularly participates in patient safety initiatives. She has led multiple quality improvement projects to try to improve the experience and outcomes of those in our care. She has a special interest in fetal monitoring.
