Kate Conway

Kate has been a qualified Nurse and Midwife for 20 years and is currently in the role of Matron for Antenatal and Gynaecology Services.

She has day to day responsibility for the maternity antenatal pathway, including the antenatal ward, antenatal clinic and parent education programmes as well as the Early Pregnancy Unit and benign gynaecology services. This role gives her the opportunity to work closely with our staff and service users ensure we are fostering a safer culture of care for women and their families.

Kate has worked in numerous clinical settings and roles that includes being a nurse, a rotational Midwife, Labour Ward Coordinator and Practice Development Midwife. She is also a Professional Midwifery Advocate offering advocacy and support to staff and women. She has a large amount of experience and have supported numerous clinical investigations, quality improvement and innovation programmes to improve standards and care.
