Lisa Else
Lisa has been a midwife for over 22 years, and works in a busy obstetric-lead unit in the South of England.
She has been a clinical lead midwife for the last 5 years, which involves overseeing the provision of high quality, effective care for women across the whole maternity service, including the community stand-alone, midwifery run, birthing units.
Her interest within the role was perineal health and this has fundamentally shaped her career path. Four years ago she became a specialist perineal midwife.
She has expertise in education and the implementation of national guidance and best practice to ensure that women have the best possible outcomes following vaginal birth.
She supports and monitors women who have sustained an obstetric anal sphincter injury after they have had their baby.
