Melissa Tucker
Ten years ago, Melissa completed her training as a Midwife and embarked on a career that involved working in across all areas of practice including community, inpatient wards and delivery suites. Melissa has held positions as both the manager of the homebirth service and Deputy Community Manager. Melissa has experience of incident investigation and has undertaken specialised training related to patient safety incidents using the new approach called PSIRF.
Melissa works collaboratively with colleagues both regionally and nationally to develop and manage transformation across maternity services. This involves implementing evidence-based practices, promoting personalised care, and safety improvements to ensure women and their families receive the highest quality of care at such an important time of their lives.
Melissa has a key interest in transformation which is enabled by digital technology and has completed her Digital Maternity Leaders PG Cert with Imperial College London and is in her final months of her Masters in Healthcare Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.
