Michael Egbor

Michael is a consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a specialist interest in Maternal – Foetal Medicine.  He was appointed in 2012 at Epsom and St Helier University Hospital where he is currently practising and his main areas of interest are advanced obstetrics ultrasound, high risk pregnancies including being the lead for multiple pregnancies and risk management.

He completed the Capsticks Diploma in Risk Management and was the Lead Consultant for Risk Management and Clinical Governance for over 10 years and was subsequently Trust-wide Quality Lead for Women’s Health Division for six years. He led on the implementation of the duty of candour and worked closely with colleagues, midwives and the wider team to embed a culture of openness, robust investigation of incidents and involvement of patients, women and their families. 

His other engagements include educational responsibilities with the General Medical Council (GMC), Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and St George’s University of London.
