Amy Wood

Amy qualified as a midwife in 2012, and has worked clinically in all areas of Maternity. She has worked as a senior midwife since 2016, leading and developing the Bereavement, Pregnancy after loss, Fetal Medicine and Screening teams.   She is currently the Lead Bereavement Midwife at her Trust, retaining her interest and expertise in bereavement, fetal medicine and screening.  This role incorporates clinical work on the Delivery Suite.  She maintains a focus in ensuring that the voice and experience of families are central to investigations and service development and feels privileged to support families in this.  Amy qualified as a Professional Midwifery Advocate in 2023 and employs her experience and understanding in this supportive role and has also undertaken Medico-Legal Training.
