Agnes Woodhouse
Agnes qualified as a midwife in 2007, working clinically in a large level 3 tertiary unit, with cardiology and maternal medicine services. For the last 11 years she has worked in the quality and governance team to improve safety for parents and their babies, with close links with neonatal and gynaecology services. She has worked passionately as an advocate to reduce stillbirth, developing processes to ensure that honest, transparent reviews take place that focus on listening to families and their experiences.
Agnes has a keen interest in human factors, clinical governance, working closely with the clinical teams and ensuring that learning is shared widely, and has recently undertaken National HSIB and Cranfield investigator training to support this. She is very proud of working within maternity in the NHS to ensure that we provide the best compassionate and kind care to families.
