Patricia Heale
(Likes to be known as Trish)
Married to Toni, have 3 grown up children and a cairn terrier named Ruby.
I started working for the NHS as a Nursing Auxiliary when I was 17 years old, and very quickly decided I would like to train to be a nurse, I completed this training and worked as a RGN for many years.
Having my children, I thought what an interesting and varied job being a midwife was, so decided to get a place to train to be a midwife.
Being a registered nurse, the course was over 18 months and once qualified I have worked both as a hospital based and integrated midwife, I loved being an integrated midwife where I carried a caseload looking after families in the community and during labour, I was also a team leader where I developed skills to empower both midwives and the families they cared for.
My Passion was always high risk so I ensured I had the necessary skills and knowledge, gaining a Bsc hons and became a labour ward co-ordinator 14 years ago. I will continue to do this until I retire in a couple of years.
