Dr Paul Crawshaw FRCPH, MD
Dr Paul Crawshaw has worked in the NHS since 1982. He trained as a paediatrician and neonatologist, specialising in care of the newborn infant, in multiple hospitals across the UK. He worked as a specialist consultant neonatologist on the neonatal intensive care unit at St Peter’s Hospital, Chertsey from 1995 to 2017. He was also Divisional Director at St Peter’s of the paediatric and maternity services for 7 years until 2017, so is very familiar with managing a neonatal intensive care unit, a labour ward, antenatal and postnatal service and a transitional care unit for babies and their mothers.
He is currently Clinical Lead for the Women’s and Children’s Workstreams of the Surrey Heartlands Health and Care Partnership and Chair of the Surrey Heartlands Local Maternity System, and continues to work closely with midwives and obstetricians and neonatal doctors and nurses.
