Leann Morris

Leann has been a midwife for eleven years, gaining vast experience within three different NHS Trusts in the South West of England, working within the community and hospital setting. She has worked as a clinical midwifery sister coordinating delivery suite and currently, she works within the governance team as the practice development midwife. Leann works closely with all staff across the maternity unit to ensure the care they give is of high quality, safe and individualised on the needs and wellbeing of pregnant people, their families, and their babies. She has experience of investigating patient safety incidences, ensuring areas of concerns are highlighted and learning needs are identified to continually improve our maternity service, patient experience and outcome.

She is committed to continuing professional development and currently studying towards her master’s degree, with a special interest in patient safety and human factors.
